Barfield's Cherry Tree Cottage
Barfield's Cherry Tree Cottage is near Canworthy Water. It's a converted stone barn on our smallholding. Detached. You get the whole place to yourselves.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's a 4 Star, so it's comfortable and well equipped. There are two sitting rooms, each with a TV. It works well if some people want to watch different things.
The main thing is you can use our indoor heated swimming pool. It's in a separate building next to the cottage. We live nearby. We'll leave you to it, but we're around if you need anything.
There's a patio garden at the front with a BBQ. There's also a small games room with a table tennis table. We've got about 35 acres here with sheep, horses, and some chickens.
You're in the countryside here. The nearest shop and pub are about four miles away in Warbstow. For the coast, Bude is the closest, about a 15 minute drive. Good surfing there. Crackington Haven is a bit further along, maybe 20 minutes. It's a nice cove.
Within half an hour you can get to Tintagel for the castle, or Port Isaac, which is where they filmed Doc Martin. Padstow is about 40 minutes if the traffic's okay. For a bigger day out, the Eden Project is worth it, and National Trust Cornwall has all the coastal walks and houses mapped out.
Facilities: we've got the pool, games room, WiFi, dishwasher, washing machine, parking. We include bedding and towels. You can bring up to two dogs. There's a cot and highchair if you need them.
