The Old Mill is near Egloskerry, which is just off the A395, about five miles from Launceston. It used to be a working corn mill. The last bit of milling was done here in the sixties.
It's detached and sleeps six people. There are three bedrooms. Two have king-size beds, one has a double. One of the king-size beds can be split into two small singles if you ask beforehand. There are two shower rooms, one upstairs and one downstairs. The stairs are pretty steep. It's an old building. The rating is 4 Star.
The layout is upside down. You'll find the bedrooms on the ground floor when you arrive, with the living room and kitchen upstairs. We did that because the views are better from up there. You get a clear look over the fields. The garden is enclosed, which is good if you've got dogs or children. You can have up to two well-behaved dogs.
Inside, there are a lot of old beams. You'll need to mind your head in a couple of spots. There's a wood burner in the living room. We leave some wood for you to start with. The kitchen has a dishwasher and a washing machine. The WiFi is full fibre, so it's reliable.
Launceston is the nearest proper town. It's about a ten-minute drive. They've got supermarkets, a few pubs, and a castle. The castle is run by English Heritage.
You're fairly central here for getting around. Bodmin Moor is about twenty minutes to the south. The north coast, places like Bude and Widemouth Bay, are about half an hour's drive. Dartmoor National Park is about forty minutes to the east, depending on traffic.
What's included: all the bedding and towels, electricity, parking for two cars on the gravel area. There's a BBQ in the garden. We can provide a highchair and a stairgate if you need them.
