The Place 2B

The Place 2B is one of four converted barns at Higher Churchtown Farm in Tresmeer. It’s a proper working farm, so you’ll see sheep. In spring, you might see the lambs. The barn looks out over fields and towards Dartmoor.

It sleeps fourteen people. Six bedrooms, three bathrooms. It’s a 5 Star place, which honestly means it’s well kitted out and comfortable. Everything is on one level, which is useful for a big group.

The barn itself is very spacious. There’s an open plan living area, underfloor heating, and a games room with a pool table and darts. Outside, there’s a patio area for you and a big shared garden. There’s an above-ground swimming pool there that everyone can use, plus a games field.

Tresmeer is a quiet village. The nearest shop is in Launceston, about three miles away. The nearest pub is about four miles. You’re really here for the space and the countryside.

Launceston is six miles. It’s got the basics, a castle, and some decent places to eat. The north coast, places like Boscastle and Tintagel, is about a twenty to thirty minute drive. Padstow is a bit further, maybe forty minutes.

If you’re planning days out, the National Trust Cornwall page is good for coastal walks and houses. For local walking trails and the coastal path, Visit Cornwall has the details.

Included in the price: all bedding and towels, electricity, and WiFi. There’s a dishwasher and washing machine. Parking is right outside. No pets, I’m afraid.
