It’s called Lilly’s. It’s a converted barn on our farm just outside North Beer. The farm’s mixed, so there’s cows and sheep in the fields around you. It’s quiet here.
Sleeps three in two bedrooms. One king-sized bed and a single. Both rooms are upstairs and have sloping ceilings, so mind your head. It’s got a 4 Star rating. Everything’s clean and it’s well set up.
Downstairs is all open plan. There’s a wood burner, a TV, and the kitchen’s decent. Has a dishwasher and a Nespresso machine. The bathroom’s on the ground floor too, with a shower over the bath. There’s a cupboard under the stairs for coats and boots, which is handy.
Outside is an enclosed decked area with a table and a charcoal barbecue. It’s secure. You can bring two dogs. They’ll like the farm track that goes through the fields, good for a walk right from the door.
You’re on the B3254 here, so it’s easy to get to places. Launceston is about six miles away. It’s got a castle. The nearest shop is four miles, and the nearest pub or restaurant is six.
The north Cornish coast is about eleven miles to drive for a beach. You’ve got Boscastle and Tintagel that way, or Bude a bit further. It’s about a twenty to thirty minute drive to most of it.
Everything you need for bedding and towels is here. There’s a washing machine, a cot, a highchair, and parking right outside.
For planning days out, the National Trust Cornwall page is useful, as is Visit Cornwall for general ideas.
