Well Farm Cottage is where I live and work. It's one of a few places here on the farm, which is just outside the village of North Tamerton. That's in Cornwall, right near the Devon border.
The cottage itself sleeps six, but it only has two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's a 4 Star, so it's comfortable and well equipped. The main bedroom has a double bed, the second has two singles, and there's also a double sofa bed in the living area. The stairs are original, so they're quite steep and narrow. The kitchen is galley style and basic, but it has everything you'd need.
Being a farm cottage, it keeps its character. There are beamed ceilings and a fireplace in the living room. The view from the back looks out across the fields to the village church.
You're welcome to wander the farm. We've got pet kunekune pigs and chickens. You can collect eggs if there are any. The river Tamar runs along the edge of the land, about a five minute walk down the lane. You can fish for trout there. The upper part of the old Bude Canal is also a short walk away.
The facilities listed are for the whole site, so I'll be clear. For Well Farm Cottage specifically, you have a private garden with a BBQ and parking. Inside, there's WiFi, a TV, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. The whole site has an electric vehicle charger you're welcome to use, and there's a communal games room and a kids' play area.
It's very quiet here. The nearest pub is about a mile and a half away in the village. The closest shop is three miles.
For a day out, Bude with its beaches and canal is about a ten mile drive. The north Cornish coast, like Widemouth Bay, is within half an hour. Dartmoor National Park is about a 25 minute drive into Devon. Launceston, with its castle, is a bit closer.
