Sandpipers

Sandpipers is in Derril, Devon. It's on a farm, stuck onto the side of our farmhouse. There are two other cottages here, but you get your own garden.

It's an upside-down layout, so the bedrooms are downstairs and the living area is upstairs. That means you get a nice view over the fields from the main room. Sleeps four in two bedrooms. One bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well looked after.

The stairs are a standard flight, not a cottage spiral. There's a stairgate at the top if you need it. We've got a TV and a DVD player with some old DVDs. There's also a washing machine and a dishwasher.

You're welcome to use our fields to let the dogs run or play a game. We allow two pets. We provide bedding and towels.

The village of Pyworthy is about half a mile away. It's got a decent pub that does food. For proper shops, Holsworthy is two and a half miles. It's a market town with a supermarket and a leisure centre with a pool.

Bude is the main seaside town, about a 15-minute drive. Good for surfing, fish and chips, and a wander along the canal. The coast in both directions is good. You've got North Cornish places like Crackington Haven or Tintagel to the west, and Devon spots like Westward Ho! or Clovelly to the east, all within about half an hour.

Locally, the Tamar Lakes are about ten minutes by car. You can fish there, or do a bit of windsurfing. The National Cycle Route goes past the end of the lane if you're bringing bikes.
