Fig Tree Cottage
Fig Tree Cottage is in Red Post, near Launceston. It's a barn conversion we did up a few years ago. It's attached at one side to our own house, a listed farmhouse, but you have your own garden and entrance.
It sleeps two. One bedroom upstairs with the bathroom, which has a shower. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's well-equipped and comfortable. The stairs are wooden and a bit steep, like most old barns.
The main room is all open plan. There's a wood burner. The kitchen has a dishwasher and washing machine. The garden gets the sun in the morning. You can park right outside.
We're about four miles from Bude. That's where the main beaches are, like Widemouth Bay for surfing. The coastal path is right there. Further along, you've got Boscastle and Tintagel, which are about a 30 minute drive. Padstow and Port Isaac are a bit further, maybe 45 minutes.
There's a pub about a mile up the road that does food. The nearest shop is a Co-op in Whitstone, three or four miles away.
You can bring up to two dogs. We include bedding and towels. There's a cot and a highchair in the cupboard if you need them.
