Trew House

Trew House is a farmhouse just outside Stratton village. It's detached and big, sleeps twelve. Five bedrooms, three bathrooms. Big garden, enclosed, mostly lawn. It's got the 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable, not just basic.

The location is quiet. You're in fields, but it's only a quarter of a mile walk into Stratton. There's a village shop and a couple of pubs there. The main reason you'd stay here is for the coast. Bude is about two miles away by car.

Bude is a proper seaside town. It's got shops, places to eat, that sort of thing. The beach is good. Widemouth Bay is a short drive south, it's a big sandy beach, popular with surfers. The coastal path runs right past it. If you walk north from Bude, you get to the canal and that's a flat, easy walk.

Within half an hour you can get to some big sights. Tintagel Castle is about twenty minutes south. Boscastle is close to that. Further north, you've got Clovelly. The Eden Project is inland, maybe a thirty minute drive.

Things to know: it's a farmhouse, so the rooms are big but the layout is old. Some doorways are low. The stairs are normal. We allow up to three dogs. The garden is fully fenced.

For facilities, you've got the basics covered. Washing machine, dishwasher, TV, WiFi. Wood burner in the main room. Parking for several cars right outside. Bedding and towels are included, and we can provide a cot and highchair.
