Headland Studio is next to my house, on the cliff just south of Bude. It's got that 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well set up. The view is the main thing. You look straight out at the sea.
It sleeps six, but that's with using the double sofa bed downstairs. There are two proper bedrooms and two bathrooms upstairs. The stairs are internal and fairly standard.
The garden is yours. It's a patio with some grass, and you can get straight onto the coastal path from there. A cliff path leads down to Upton beach, about a ten minute walk. It's a mix of shingle and sand when the tide's out. Good for rock pools. No lifeguard, so you need to know what you're doing, especially for surfing. For a safer swim, Widemouth Bay or Bude's Summerleaze are a short drive away.
The place is open plan. Kitchen, dining, sitting area all in one room. It's well equipped. There's a washing machine, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring two dogs.
Bude town centre is about five minutes by car. It's got shops, cafes, the canal, and that sea pool. The golf course is close. For a dramatic walk, the coast path south towards Crackington Haven is stunning. You can drive to Tintagel in under half an hour.
