The White House
The White House is here in Treskinnick Cross. That's about three miles in from the coast.
It’s a detached modern house, not an old cottage. It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, which is handy. There's also a downstairs loo. It’s got a 4 Star rating.
The layout is upside down. The bedrooms are all on the ground floor. The living room, kitchen, and dining area are upstairs. The reason for that is the view from the first floor. You get a long view over the fields to the sea in the distance. It's a good spot to sit.
Outside, there's a courtyard at the back with a table and chairs. Then there's a bit of lawn up some steps. It's a narrow strip, but it's got the same view over the fields.
It's well equipped. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, all the bedding and towels are in. You can park right there. It’s also wheelchair friendly at the entrance and on the ground floor.
You're about halfway between Bude and Crackington Haven. The sea is three miles away. There’s a shop a mile away, and the nearest pub and restaurant are three miles.
Widemouth Bay is the closest big beach. Crackington Haven, Boscastle, and Tintagel are all along this bit of coast and easy to get to. Bude has the surfing and a canal. If you want to go further, Padstow is about forty minutes in the car.
You can bring up to two dogs. We provide a cot, highchair, and a stairgate if you need them.
