Barton Cottage

Barton Cottage is in St Gennys, Cornwall. It's a traditional two-up-two-down next door to the village church on the clifftop. It’s a 4 Star place, so it’s comfortable and well looked after.

It sleeps four in two bedrooms. One double, one twin. There’s one bathroom. You can bring one dog if you want.

The living space is all open plan downstairs, with a slate floor and beams. There's an open fire for cooler evenings. The stairs are a typical cottage staircase, so mind your head.

The best thing is the location. The South West Coast Path is about a five minute walk away. The views from the path there are dramatic because the cliffs are so high. There’s also a footpath from the cottage that goes down to Crackington Haven beach. It’s a nice walk, about fifteen minutes. You can drive there in five.

The cottage has a small enclosed garden at the back with a lawn. It looks straight out over the sea towards Widemouth Bay.

Crackington Haven itself is about a mile away. It's a good surfing beach. At low tide there’s sand and rock pools. There are a couple of beach shops, cafés, and a pub with a terrace right by the sea.

The local National Trust warden, who lives nearby, sometimes runs conservation walks along the coast if you're interested.

In terms of stuff, it's got the basics: TV, wifi, a washing machine, parking. Bedding is included. We can provide a cot and highchair.
