Woodgate
This is Woodgate. It's a detached farmhouse near Crackington Haven in Cornwall.
It sleeps seven people. Four bedrooms, three bathrooms. Two of the bedrooms are doubles with en-suites. There's also a twin room and a single room with a pull-out bed. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well-presented. It was built in the 1920s and still has some of that character. It's roomy. The rooms are practical.
You get two living rooms, both with TVs. It's handy if different people want to watch different things. The kitchen has space for a few people to help with cooking. The dining area is good for everyone to sit together.
The garden is fully enclosed. There's a terrace with a built-in barbecue and a sloping lawn. The property sits up on the side of a valley. You have a nice view over the trees from the house. There's a path from the garden that leads down into the wooded valley, which belongs to me. You're welcome to walk there.
Crackington Haven and the beach are about a mile away. It's a sandy beach with rock pools. You can easily walk down if you don't mind the hill back. Because of the valley setting, you can sometimes see roe deer and badgers from the house. You might hear owls at night. Seals are often on the coast.
For facilities, it's got what you'd expect: WiFi, a washing machine, dishwasher, woodburning stove. Bedding is included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. On-site parking. One well-behaved dog is allowed.
In terms of things to do, the South West Coast Path runs right through Crackington Haven. It's good walking. Bude is about a 20 minute drive north for surf hire and a bigger town. Tintagel and Boscastle are within half an hour to the south.
