The Shippon is in Trewint, near Crackington Haven. It's a converted barn, so it's got things like thick walls and slate floors. It's set back from a small lane, surrounded by fields. You can hear the stream from the garden.
It sleeps six, with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. One bathroom is downstairs. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well looked after. The heating is modern and works well, but there's also a wood burner if you want it.
The kitchen has a dishwasher and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. Parking is right next to the cottage.
The local pub is about a mile away in the village. It does food. There's a shop about a quarter of a mile away for basics.
Crackington Haven beach is three miles away. It's a cove with good surf. Widemouth Bay is about six miles – that's a bigger, sandy beach. Both are popular.
You're well placed for the north coast. Bude is about nine miles, Boscastle maybe four, Tintagel a bit further. Padstow and Port Isaac are both within a half hour drive if the traffic isn't bad.
For a day trip, the Eden Project is about 45 minutes away. Bodmin Moor is closer, maybe 25 minutes, if you want proper walks inland.
