Penhalt Farm Apartment
Penhalt Farm Apartment is in Poundstock, near Bude. It's a first-floor apartment above our farmhouse, with its own entrance up a flight of stairs.
It sleeps seven in three bedrooms. One double, one twin, and one room with bunk beds. They all have sea views. There's one bathroom with a shower.
It's a 3 Star place. It's not new or fancy, but it's very clean. We keep it that way. You get what you pay for and it's good value.
The apartment looks out over fields to Widemouth Bay. The view is great. We're on a campsite, so it can be busy in the field in summer, but people don't come right up to the windows. There's a campsite shop for basics.
You've got a garden to yourselves that's enclosed. Facilities include WiFi, TV, a washing machine, dishwasher, and parking. We provide a cot and highchair if you need them. Bedding and towels are included. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
For beaches, Widemouth Bay is about two miles. The coast here is dramatic. Millook Haven and Crackington Haven are spectacular, with steep cliffs. The South West Coast Path runs right past. It's famous for the views. The lane from Millook up to the main road is a notorious hill for cyclists.
Bude is a few minutes' drive. It's a small town with shops, pubs, and places to eat. For a wider look at the area, Cornwall National Landscape has good information.
