Appleloft

Appleloft is a stone cottage near Crackington Haven. It's in a hamlet called Pencuke, up near Higher Crackington. It's been done up recently with a new kitchen and dining area.

It sleeps four. There are two bedrooms and one bathroom. One bedroom is downstairs, a twin. The main bedroom is upstairs. It's a galleried room, so it's open to the lounge below, but it feels private. It's got a super king bed and an ensuite cloakroom. The floor up there is the old apple-store flooring, so it's a bit uneven in places. That's just how it is.

You get a wood burner in the lounge. The garden is big, front and back, and it's enclosed. There's parking on the gated drive.

Higher Crackington has a community shop about a ten-minute walk. They do good coffee and pasties. Crackington Haven beach is close, that's your main access to the coastal path. Bude is about a twenty-minute drive. They've got beaches, an outdoor sea pool, shops, and surf schools there. If you want bigger waves, Widemouth Bay is about eight miles away.

For walking, you're right on it. The coastal path is there at Crackington Haven or at Boscastle. We've left a lot of walking books and maps in the cottage. Boscastle itself is worth a visit, and Tintagel isn't far.

You can take one dog. We've got a cot and a highchair if you need them. Bedding and towels are included. There's wifi, a washing machine, and a dishwasher.
