Penfound Country Cottage is on our farm in Poundstock. It's a single-storey converted barn, so everything is on one level good for most people. There is one small step getting in through the porch.
It's a quiet spot. You'll see the sheep and cattle in the fields. Our two ponies, Bonnie and Sugar, are usually in the paddock by the garden. They're friendly.
The cottage sleeps two people. It has two bedrooms and one bathroom. It has a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean.
There's a big lawn garden that's just for you, it looks over the paddock. Plenty of parking right outside.
We live next door in the farmhouse. We're here if you need anything but we'll leave you to it.
The coast is about three and a half miles away. Bude is the main town there, it has a sea pool and a golf course. A shop and a restaurant are a mile away, the nearest pub is two miles.
You're just off the A39, which makes getting about easy. You can drive north to Bude or south towards Port Isaac. Boscastle is a nice village about a half hour drive. Tintagel and the castle are a bit further on. The National Trust has information on some of the local sites.
For facilities, you've got a washing machine, dishwasher, TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. The parking is on site. No pets, sorry.
