Thurlibeer House
Thurlibeer House is in Red Post, on the main road from Holsworthy into Bude. It's a big, white colonial-style house that sleeps fifteen. Seven bedrooms, three bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating.
The house is very spacious. It's an unusual shape inside, with some very high ceilings. It looks out over fields towards Widemouth Bay. You can see the sea from some windows.
The garden is yours to use. There's on-site parking for several cars. Inside, there's a wood burning stove, a dishwasher, and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's a games room too. WiFi is included.
You can have up to three dogs. We provide a cot.
A shop and a fish and chip takeaway are about half a mile away. The nearest pub is a mile and a half.
You're about four miles from Bude. That's where the main beaches are, like Summerleaze. The sea pool is there. The town has shops, places to eat, and a leisure centre. The golf course is good.
The Bude Canal path starts about half a mile from the house. It's a flat, easy walk all the way into Bude town or out to the coast. Good for watching birds. You can fish in the canal.
The coastal path is easily accessible for proper walks. Widemouth Bay is close. Horse riding is available locally.
If you want to drive further, Boscastle, Tintagel, and Hartland Quay are all within about half an hour. Clovelly is a bit further.
