The Old Granary is a converted barn on our dairy farm in Grimscott. It's semi-detached. The house sleeps ten, with five bedrooms and three bathrooms. It has a 5 Star rating, which means it's well-equipped and comfortable.
It's an upside-down house, so the main living area is upstairs. That gives you a better view over the fields. There's a wood burner for cooler evenings and a pool table. The garden is across the lane from the house. It's got a summerhouse and space for a barbecue.
Being on a working farm, you'll see and hear the cows. It's a proper farm, so there are tractors and things during the day. If you have very young children, you'll need to keep an eye on them outside.
You're about five miles from the coast at Bude. The beaches there are good for surfing and swimming. In the village of Kilkhampton, three miles away, you've got a couple of pubs and shops for basics. There's a pub serving food about two and a half miles from the house.
For days out, Tamar Lakes is three miles away. You can walk, cycle, or do some fishing there. Bude has the main amenities: an indoor pool, golf, and places to eat. The coastal path is accessible from several points along the coast. Further afield, within about half an hour, you can get to places like Tintagel or the edge of Bodmin Moor.
The facilities are listed, but to note the main things: WiFi, a washing machine, dishwasher, parking for several cars, and a cot and highchair if you need them. We accept up to two well-behaved dogs.
