Tremaer

Tremaer is in Bude, in a little hamlet just up the hill from Crooklets Beach. It's a Grade II listed place. It's attached to the house next door down one side wall, but it has its own big walled garden.

It sleeps nine, in four bedrooms. There are three bathrooms, two of which are en-suite master bedrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. The stairs are old and steep in parts, and a bit narrow. Just so you know.

It dates from the 14th century. You can see the old beams, there's a big stone fireplace with bread ovens in it, and some stained glass. The kitchen has an Aga. There's a wood burner in the living room. There's also a converted stable out the back that we use as a games room. It's got a pool table and table tennis in there.

You can walk down to Crooklets Beach and the coast path in about ten minutes. Bude town centre is maybe a fifteen minute walk. There are three main sandy beaches, a sea pool, and the usual shops and places to eat. The National Trust looks after a lot of the coast around here.

Within half an hour's drive you can get to places like Tintagel Castle, which is English Heritage, or up onto Dartmoor. Closer by, there's a golf course, a leisure centre in Bude, and horse riding nearby.

Facilities: it says most of it in the list. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, the games room, WiFi, TV, and parking on site. Bedding is included. You can bring up to two dogs.
