Hillside

Hillside is over at Penstowe Park, a holiday park near Kilkhampton. It's a lodge, not a cottage. You're in the park, so there are other lodges around, but it's quiet.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one double and one twin. One bathroom with a shower. It's a 3 Star place, so it's clean and everything works. It's straightforward.

The kitchen has what you need. There's a TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside.

There's no Wi-Fi in the lodge itself, but you can get it at the local pubs. The electricity is on a coin meter. We put a couple of pounds in to start you off, and ask that you leave the same when you go.

If you're arriving late, bring a torch. The path to the lodge isn't brightly lit.

You can bring up to two dogs.

For getting out, Sandymouth Beach is about ten minutes' drive. Bude is close, maybe fifteen minutes. That's where the surf shops and cafes are. The Bude Canal is nice for a flat walk.

Further afield, you can get to Tintagel in under an hour. The Eden Project is about forty minutes away.
