The Bothy is in Alfardisworthy. It's a single-storey barn in the corner of our field. It used to be for storage. We converted it a few years ago. It's detached, so you're on your own out there. You can see our house from it, but it's private.
It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. Everything's on the ground floor, so there are no steps at all. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well-equipped and finished to a good standard. It's clean and comfortable.
You can bring one dog. There's a small fenced patio area at the back. The front looks out over our field. There's a bit of woodland across the lane you can walk through.
The village of Bradworthy is two miles away. It has a shop, a butcher, and a pub. The pub does food. For a bigger shop, you'd go to Holsworthy, which is about four miles.
You're close to the border here. Tamar Lakes are about a mile and a half away. You can walk around them, or do some fishing or sailing. South West Lakes Trust runs it.
The coast at Bude is about seven miles. Sandymouth beach is good. It's a National Trust site so there's parking. You can check the National Trust page for details. Clovelly is about a twenty minute drive. It's a steep, cobbled fishing village you pay to enter.
Inside, it's open plan. There's a woodburning stove. We leave you some logs to start with. It has a dishwasher and a washing machine. The WiFi works. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside.
