Pleasant Spot Lodge is in Meddon, which is deep in the North Devon countryside. It's a detached lodge, one of many on a large, landscated site. It's very quiet and the views are all fields and trees.
The lodge sleeps four. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms. Both bathrooms were redone a few years ago. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's modern and comfortable.
The living area opens straight out onto a deck. Good for sitting out. There's a wood burner for cooler evenings.
You're right on the edge of Hartland Forest. You can walk straight from the door. The site itself is over a hundred acres. For the coast, it's about four miles to get to places like Clovelly. The beach at Westward Ho! is about twenty minutes by car. Saunton Sands and Woolacombe are a bit further, maybe forty minutes.
Bude is the nearest proper town for supermarkets, about fifteen minutes drive. The Tarka Trail for walking and cycling is nearby. If you've got children, The Big Sheep and The Milky Way adventure parks are within half an hour.
Facilities wise: there's a dishwasher, washing machine, TV, and parking right outside. The lodge is all on one level. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs.
