Stable is one of three barns here at our place in Venn, Devon. It sleeps two, one bedroom and one bathroom. All on one floor. It's got a five star rating, which means it's well finished and comfortable. The bed has an ensuite shower.
The barns were converted to be eco-friendly. You get high ceilings and oak floors. It's a clean, simple space.
Outside, you have your own patio area with seating. There's a shared barbecue spot and a herb garden. There's a big meadow to walk across, which is handy if you bring a dog. You're allowed one.
We live next door on the smallholding. We have chickens and ducks, vegetable plots, and that sort of thing. We've put up owl boxes and bat boxes around. There's an owl observatory you can use to watch the evening, and the dark skies are good for stargazing.
The location is rural. The coast is about two and a half miles away. Bucks Mills is the nearest beach, it's a sand and shingle cove. Hartland and Clovelly are a short drive up the coast. For bigger sandy beaches, you'd drive to Westward Ho! or into Cornwall towards Bude.
Woolfardisworthy village is two miles away. It has a shop and a pub. The pub does food and there's a fish and chip shop next to it.
There's storage here for bikes or surfboards, and an outdoor tap for washing things off. Parking is right outside.
