The Stable is one of three barn conversions on our small farm in Venn. It's quiet, looks out over meadows, and sleeps two.
It's been done to a high standard, what they call 5 Star. Open plan downstairs with a kitchen area, a sofa, and doors to a private courtyard. Upstairs is the bedroom and bathroom. Everything is on one level except the bedroom, which is up a flight of stairs. They're not unusually steep.
You're welcome to bring a dog. There's a shared meadow they can run in, and we have a dog here too, plus chickens, ducks, and cats. You'll probably see them about.
The location is good for being quiet but not isolated. The coast at Bucks Mills is about ten minutes by car. It's a steep path down to a pebble beach. Clovelly and Hartland are close too. For a bigger sandy beach, Bude in Cornwall is about half an hour's drive.
There's a village shop and a pub in Woolfardisworthy, two miles away. The pub does food and there's a fish and chip shop next door.
In the barn you've got a washing machine, TV, wifi, and parking. Bedding and towels are included. There's a barbecue in your courtyard and a shared one in the herb garden. We have space to store bikes or surfboards if you bring them.
