The Threshing Barn

The Threshing Barn is near Cranford in North Devon. It's a converted barn, next to another one called The Shippen. We're up a farm track, so it's quiet.

It sleeps six, over three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, which is handy. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well looked after. The main room is open plan, with a wood burner. There's underfloor heating too.

Outside, there's a private garden for you. You can also use the big field for dogs or kids to run about in. There's a separate grassy bit with a picnic table. The view from there is good, right across the valley.

Location wise, you're about a mile from the coast path. Bucks Mills beach is a short drive away. It's a small shingle beach, good for dogs. The proper sandy beaches, like Westward Ho!, are about a 15 minute drive.

The village shop is half a mile down the lane. The nearest pub doing food is about a mile and a half. Bideford is ten minutes by car. You can get boat trips to Lundy Island from there, or hire bikes for the Tarka Trail.

For a day out, Clovelly is close. The RHS garden at Rosemoor is worth the trip. If you've got children, The Big Sheep or The Milky Way are the local adventure parks.

Facilities include a dishwasher, washing machine, TV, and bedding and towels are provided. There's parking for a couple of cars and an electric vehicle charger. You can bring up to two dogs. We can take a supermarket delivery for you before you arrive if you arrange it.

If you're planning things to do, these sites are useful: National Trust Devon, Visit Devon, and for the coast path, South West Coast Path.
