Swallows Cottage
This is Swallows Cottage in Alwington. It’s a converted stone barn in the countryside. Quiet spot, about three miles from Bideford.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms and, unusually, three bathrooms. One for each bedroom. It’s got a 5 Star rating, so it’s well equipped and comfortable. There's an Aga in the kitchen, which some people love and others find a bit different. The main living room is upstairs. It has beams and looks out over the fields.
The garden is enclosed, so it’s safe for kids and dogs. We take up to two pets. There’s parking right there.
You’re about ten minutes from the coast. Westward Ho! has a long sandy beach. For a walk, the Tarka Trail is close by. The National Trust’s Arlington Court is near, or you can drive into Exmoor. Exmoor National Park is about half an hour away.
Inside, there’s a woodburning stove, wifi, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. We include bedding and towels. There’s a cot, highchair, and stairgate if you need them.
