The Threshing Barn
The Threshing Barn is on our working farm in Hallspill, just outside Bideford. It's one of four barns we've converted. You get your own private courtyard with a table and chairs, and a barbecue.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean, with decent space.
The farm is down a long private drive, so it's quiet. There are about 200 acres. There's a shared green area where kids can run about and you can walk the dogs. You can have a wander around the farm's own woodland paths.
The Tarka Trail is very close. It's a flat path on an old railway line, good for walking or cycling. You can follow it along the river towards Instow or Barnstaple. We're about two miles from Bideford town centre. It's a proper market town with shops and a quay.
The nearest beaches are Westward Ho! and Instow, both about four miles away. For surfing, the bigger beaches like Saunton, Woolacombe and Croyde are within a 30 minute drive. You can get a boat to Lundy Island from Bideford if you want a day trip.
The place has a washing machine, dishwasher, TV, and included WiFi. Bedding and towels are provided. We can put up a cot and a highchair if you need them. There's a stairgate at the top. There's parking right outside. You can bring up to two dogs.
