Shorewaters
Shorewaters is in Appledore. It's on a quiet street just off the main quay. The big thing about it is the view. You've got a balcony off the main living room and a decked roof terrace. They both look straight out over the river to Instow. It's good for sitting with a drink and watching the boats, or the tide coming in.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms. Two doubles that both face the river, and a bunk room. There are two bathrooms, one with a bath and shower, and a wet room upstairs.
The inside is open plan. Kitchen, dining, living all in one room. It's been done up recently, so it's clean and comfortable. It's a 4 Star place.
You can bring one dog. There's a stairgate and a cot if you need them. Bedding and towels are included. There's a washing machine and a dishwasher. Parking is on street, but we've never had a problem finding a space just outside.
You're about two minutes' walk from Appledore quay. There are pubs, cafes, and shops all there. You can get the ferry across to Instow from the quay. Instow has a long sandy beach that's dog friendly. Westward Ho! beach is about two miles away, that's good for surfing. For bigger waves, Croyde and Woolacombe are about half an hour's drive.
Bideford is two miles. They've got a big supermarket and the Tarka Trail starts there, which is good for cycling or walking. The Big Sheep and The Milky Way are both within half an hour if you've got kids.
