Garden Cottage
Garden Cottage is a one bedroom place on the Webbery Manor estate near Stony Cross. It's for two people. We've got a 5 Star rating, so everything's in good order and it's well looked after.
The cottage is in the grounds of the main house. It's got its own small garden area with a patio. You can see the old walled kitchen garden from there. If there's anything ready to pick in the veg garden, you're welcome to it. Things like Romanesco broccoli or Pink Fir Apple potatoes. It depends on the season.
Inside, it's one bedroom with an en suite shower room. Good walk-in shower. There's a washing machine and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. We allow one well-behaved dog.
The estate is about 30 acres. There are sheep in some of the fields, and deer in the woods. You'll see pheasants and hear owls at night. It's quiet.
The nearest shops and pubs are in Bideford, about five miles away. It's a proper market town with a harbour. Lots of places to eat. For a day out, the North Devon coast and the Taw/Torridge estuary are close by. There's fishing and horse riding within five miles if that's your thing.
For wider planning, the National Trust Devon site is useful, and Exmoor National Park is about a 30 minute drive away.
