Garden Cottage
Garden Cottage is on the Webbery Manor estate at Stony Cross. It's a one bedroom place for two people. It's got a 5 Star rating, so it's a comfortable, nice standard.
You're up on a hill here, quiet, with views over towards the Taw and Torridge estuaries. The estate is 30 acres of fields and woodland. You'll see sheep, sometimes deer, and lots of birds. The garden has some big old trees and rhododendrons that are good in the spring.
There's a walled kitchen garden that's run organically. They grow some different things you might not have seen before, like Romanesco broccoli. You're welcome to take some if it's in season.
The cottage itself has one bedroom with an en-suite bathroom. It's got a walk-in shower. There's a patio and garden area for you to use. Inside, there's a TV, Wi-Fi, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. Parking is right there.
You're a bit out of the way, so the nearest shops or pubs are about five miles down in Bideford. It's a proper market town with a working harbour. Plenty of places to eat there.
If you're looking for things to do, there's fishing and horse riding within five miles. There's a golf course nearby too. For a day out, you've got the North Devon coast or National Trust places like Arlington Court within about half an hour. Exmoor National Park isn't far either.
