27 Nautilus is a ground floor apartment in Westward Ho! The building itself is quite unique, it looks like a row of white shells or sails right on the seafront. This one's on the end.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and two bathrooms, which is handy. The main bedroom has a big bed and its own shower room. The second bedroom has two singles. Everything was updated a few years back so it feels fresh. The living room has those full height windows looking out, and doors onto your own bit of decking.
You're basically on the beach. It's a two minute walk onto the sand and pebbles at Westward Ho!. The promenade is right there for a proper seaside stroll. The town has the usual stuff, chips, ice cream, a few pubs. It's a proper Victorian seaside place.
For walking, you can pick up the South West Coast Path easily. The Tarka Trail is a few miles inland if you fancy a flat, traffic-free cycle or walk. It follows the old railway line.
Bideford is about ten minutes by car. Barnstaple is twenty. Both have big supermarkets if you need them. If you want to get out on the water, you can get the ferry to Lundy Island from Bideford. It's a good day out if you like birds and seals.
The apartment is all on one level and there's parking right outside, which is a plus. It has a 4 Star rating. There's a TV, WiFi, all the bedding and towels are provided. No pets allowed.
