Wow Westward Ho!

Westward Ho! itself has the usual seaside things: shops, cafes, pubs. It's a classic Victorian seaside town so the architecture is colourful. The weekly pannier markets in Barnstaple and Bideford are worth a visit if you want local produce, they're about a twenty minute drive away.
