Ocean Escape, Roslyn Gardens
Ocean Escape is on Roslyn Gardens in Westward Ho! It's a detached house, modern inside. You get sea views across to Lundy Island.
It sleeps eight people in four bedrooms. Three bathrooms, so that helps with a group. It's got a 5 Star rating. Feels quite high spec, lots of space.
The layout is over three floors. The main living floor is in the middle. Upstairs is the master bedroom with a small balcony looking at the sea. The bed can be a super king or two singles. There's another double bedroom on that floor too, and a family bathroom.
Downstairs on the ground floor are two twin bedrooms and a shower room. That's also where the games room and utility room are. There's a proper washing line and pegs for wetsuits out in the courtyard, which is handy.
Outside, there's an enclosed garden at the back that gets the sun. It has a barbecue. Parking is on the drive.
The beach is a short walk, maybe three minutes. It's a long, sandy beach. The village is about the same walk the other way. There are shops, places to eat, and a couple of amusements. A good pub is about 200 yards from the house.
For walking, you're right on the South West Coast Path. The Tarka Trail is nearby too if you have bikes. The local golf club is about five minutes by car.
If you need a day out, Appledore and Bideford are close. From Bideford Quay you can get the boat over to Lundy Island. For kids, The BIG Sheep and The Milky Way adventure parks are within a 15 or 20 minute drive.
The house has most things you'd need: dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. One well-behaved dog is allowed. There's an electric vehicle charging point on the drive.
