Ocean Escape, Roslyn Gardens
This is Ocean Escape on Roslyn Gardens in Westward Ho!. It's a detached house that sleeps eight. There are four bedrooms and three bathrooms. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's quite new and everything is in good order.
The house looks out over the beach and you can see Lundy Island. The main bedroom has a balcony with that view. The stairs are fine, it's a modern build.
It's set up for holiday weather. There's a games room downstairs and a cinema room on the first floor. The garden is enclosed and south-facing, with a barbecue. Round the back there's a courtyard with a rack for surfboards and hooks for wetsuits, which is handy.
The beach is about a three-minute walk. It's a long, sandy beach. The village is a short walk the other way, with shops, cafes, and a few amusements. There's a good pub about 200 yards away.
For walking, the South West Coast Path is right there. The Tarka Trail is nearby too if you prefer cycling. The Royal North Devon Golf Club is about five minutes' drive.
If you're driving out, Appledore and Bideford are close. From Bideford quay you can get the boat to Lundy Island. The BIG Sheep and The Milky Way adventure parks are within a fifteen-minute drive for kids.
Facilities: all the bedding and towels are included. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, cot, highchair, and stairgate. Parking is on site. There's an electric vehicle charger. One well-behaved dog is allowed.
