Cobble Cottage
Cobble Cottage is in Instow, right by the beach. It's a three hundred year old place next to our house. It sleeps two, just the one bedroom and bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating.
You come in through a little courtyard with cobbles. It's sunny out there, and there's a table and chairs. The kitchen is small, a galley kitchen. It looks out to the courtyard.
The main room has the original cobble floor. There's a wood burner and a two-seater sofa. The stairs to the bedroom are the original ones. They're steep and a bit uneven. Upstairs is a kingsize bed. You can see a bit of the sea from the window.
The shower room is on the ground floor. It's a wet room.
You can't drive right up to the door. You park on Marine Parade, which is the street by the water. Evening parking there is free. From late September to early May, the on-street parking is free all the time. There are also two pay and display car parks very close.
The beach is just yards away. It's sandy with dunes. The sunsets over the estuary are very good. You can see Appledore across the water. There's a ferry that goes across from the quay.
There are a few pubs and a nice deli in the village, all within walking distance. The deli does breakfast and you can get supplies there.
For a day out, you've got the North Devon coast. The Tarka Trail is nearby for cycling or walking. Arlington Court is about a twenty minute drive. The South West Coast Path runs through here. Barnstaple is about ten minutes away by car if you need bigger shops.
Included in the cottage: WiFi, a Smart TV, bedding and towels. The wood for the burner is there for you. No pets, sorry.
