Dove Cote House is on the Webbery Manor Estate, near Stony Cross. It's up in the hills, so the views are good. It looks out over the Taw and Torridge estuaries.
The house sleeps eight. Four bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. It's got a 5 Star rating, so everything is in good order. We allow up to two well-behaved dogs.
The estate is 30 acres. You'll see deer, sheep, and plenty of birds. The gardens have some interesting trees. There's a walled kitchen garden where we grow vegetables. You're welcome to take some if they're in season, things like Romanesco or Pink Fir Apple potatoes.
The place is quiet. The nearest shops and pubs are in Bideford, about five miles away. It's a proper market town with a harbour. Good for a meal out.
For things to do: fishing and horse riding are within five miles. There's a golf course nearby. Bideford itself has a lot going on. Further afield, the North Devon coast, Exmoor, and the surf at Westward Ho! are all within about half an hour's drive.
Inside, there's a woodburning stove, a TV, WiFi, and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. Parking is on site.
