Weach Barton Granary
Weach Barton Granary is a converted granary on our farm, about two miles outside Bideford. It's detached and sits up on its old stone staddles, so you get these wide views across the fields.
It sleeps three. There are two bedrooms, but the second one is compact. It's good for one adult or a couple of kids. One bathroom with a shower. It's got a 3 Star rating. It's clean and comfortable, not luxury. Because it's up on the staddles, the living area is all on the first floor. There's an external staircase up to the front door.
You're on a working farm. We've got sheep and beef cattle. The kids like seeing the animals. The patio area is yours to use and it looks out over the land. You can park right next to it.
Instow beach is about two miles away. It's a sandy estuary beach, good for sailing and a walk. The village has a couple of shops, a cafe, and pubs that do food. Bideford is closer, maybe a mile and a half. You can get the boat to Lundy Island from there. The Tarka Trail runs right past the farm if you've got bikes. You can hire them in Bideford.
Within half an hour you can get to places like the RHS Garden at Rosemoor, or Clovelly. The North Devon coast path is accessible. For days out further afield, Exmoor is about forty minutes drive.
Facilities: there's a washing machine, bedding is included, and there's space to store bikes. It's got its own parking. No pets, I'm afraid, because of the farm animals.
