Llamedos

Llamedos is in Bideford, on a quiet residential hill. It's a detached house. Good view from the front, decent sized garden at the back.

It sleeps eight. Four bedrooms, three bathrooms. It's had the 4 Star grading, so it's comfortable and well equipped. There's a bunk room on the ground floor. The other three bedrooms are downstairs, a level below the lounge. One of them has patio doors out to the deck and its own shower room. The stairs between these floors are a standard indoor staircase.

The living room is on the ground floor. There's a smart TV and a gas fire. Patio doors lead out to a small deck, then steps go down to the garden. There's also a small snug room off the lounge if you want a quieter spot. The kitchen has a dishwasher, washing machine and an air fryer. There's parking on the drive for two cars.

The garden is enclosed. It's part lawn, part deck. You can get to it from the lounge doors, from two of the bedrooms, or from a side gate.

Bideford itself has a long quay and is handy for the area. Westward Ho! beach is about four miles. Instow is similar. The Tarka Trail for walking and cycling is close by, and you can hire bikes locally. For a different day out, the ferry to Lundy Island goes from Bideford.

Westward Ho! has a beach, shops and a golf course. For family days, The Big Sheep is nearby. For more active stuff, The Ultimate Adventure Centre is close. Further out, the big beaches are Saunton, Woolacombe and Croyde.

Because you're near the A39, you can get to Exmoor National Park, Clovelly, Hartland Point, and into North Cornwall within about half an hour.

For planning, these sites are useful: National Trust North Devon Coast and Exmoor National Park.

Facilities: WiFi, bedding and towels included. There's a cot, highchair and stairgate if you need them. Two well-behaved pets are welcome.
