The Linhay
The Linhay is on the Webbery Manor Estate near Stony Cross in Devon. It’s detached, basically an old stone linhay that's been converted. It’s high up, so the views are good. You look out over the estate’s land.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both en-suite, which is handy. It’s got a 5 Star rating so everything’s in good order and the finish is comfortable. It’s modern inside, with underfloor heating and a wood burner. The kitchen has what you need.
It’s private and quiet out here. You’re on a big estate with 30 acres of parkland and woods. You’ll see sheep, sometimes deer, lots of birds. It’s a proper rural spot. The garden’s yours and there’s a patio.
Facilities wise: parking right there, WiFi, TV, washing machine, bedding and towels are included. You can bring one dog.
The nearest shop and pub are about five miles away in the villages. For a proper day out, Bideford is a 20 minute drive. It’s a working harbour with a weekly market. Barnstaple is about the same drive the other way.
If you like walking, the Tarka Trail is nearby. The North Devon coast, like Westward Ho! or Instow, is within half an hour. For gardens and estates, National Trust Devon has a few places like Arlington Court nearby. For general area information, Visit Devon is useful.
