This is Penhill Farm Cottage. It's on the edge of Fremington, up the hill from the River Taw. You get a good view of the river and the fields from up here.
It sleeps five. There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms, which is handy. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's been done up nicely inside. There's a woodburning stove for cooler evenings.
The garden is a decent size and it's enclosed. There's a terrace up some steps with a table and chairs. That's the spot for a drink in the evening. You can see right across to the river.
You're about a twenty minute walk down the lane to Fremington Quay. The Tarka Trail starts there. It's flat, so good for walking or cycling. There's a cafe at the Quay.
Instow beach is about three miles away. It's sandy, with a pub and places to eat right on the front. For bigger beaches, Woolacombe and Saunton are about a half hour drive. Barnstaple is ten minutes by car for shops and the pannier market.
Exmoor is about half an hour east for walking. The coast path at Lynton and Lynmouth is spectacular, but it's steep in places. That's a bit further, maybe forty minutes.
For facilities, you've got the things you'd expect: parking, wifi, a washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. No pets, I'm afraid.
