Penhill Farm Cottage is in Fremington. It's semi-detached, up on the high ground. The view from the back is over the River Taw.
It sleeps five in three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, which is handy. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable.
The garden is big and enclosed. There are steps up to a terrace above the wood store. You get a good view of the river from up there. It's a nice spot.
You can walk down from the cottage to Fremington Quay. The Tarka Trail is there. It's a flat path for walking or cycling. There's a café at the quay.
The nearest beach is Instow, about three miles away. It's sandy, good for a walk. There's a pub and places to eat right by the beach.
For a proper day at the coast, Woolacombe and Saunton Sands are about a half hour drive. They're big, wide beaches. Barnstaple is close for shops and the pannier market.
Exmoor is within half an hour for walking. The coast path around Lynton and Lynmouth is dramatic, but it's hilly. Clovelly is a bit further, but worth the trip.
Things here: there's parking, WiFi, a washing machine, and a woodburner. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. Sorry, no pets.
