Folly View

Folly View is in Bishop's Tawton, a small village just outside Barnstaple. It's a fairly modern house, sleeps six across three bedrooms. Two of the bedrooms are doubles. One of those has a small private terrace off it. The other double has its own shower room. The third bedroom has a super king bed that can be made into two singles if you ask beforehand.

There are two bathrooms, one has a bath and shower cubicle. Downstairs, there's an open plan living area with a wood burner. The kitchen is part of that. There's also a utility room with the main door in and a downstairs loo.

Outside, the main thing is the view over the valley. There's a terrace at the front where you can sit and look at it. The views across to Tawstock Castle at night are nice when it's lit up.

It's got a four-star rating. That means it’s comfortable and well-equipped.

The village has a thatched pub you can walk to. Barnstaple town is less than two miles away for shops. Good beaches like Saunton Sands, Woolacombe and Westward Ho! are a 15 to 30 minute drive.

For walking or cycling, the Tarka Trail is very close. It follows the old railway line. You can walk or cycle from Barnstaple towards Dartmoor. The South West Coast Path is a short drive away. The big beaches I mentioned are also good for long walks.

In terms of facilities, it's got parking, a washing machine, WiFi, a dishwasher, heating is included, and bedding and towels are provided. Up to two dogs are allowed.
