Dairy Cottage
Dairy Cottage is just outside Barnstaple. It's part of a converted farmyard, ours is the end one. Good parking right outside.
It sleeps six, three bedrooms. One bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable. All the basics are there. The kitchen is decent. The patio area gets the sun in the afternoon.
The main thing is the location. You're in the countryside, you can see fields, but you can walk to Barnstaple town centre in about 20 minutes. There's a big Tesco very close if you need it. A local shop is about a ten minute walk.
The Tarka Trail runs past the farm gate. You can hire bikes and go for miles on the old railway line. Good for a walk without driving.
For beaches, Woolacombe is about 20-25 minutes drive. Saunton and Westward Ho! are a similar distance. Barnstaple Leisure Centre is a five minute drive if the weather turns.
With kids, The Big Sheep is about 15 minutes away. RHS Rosemoor Gardens are half an hour. Exmoor National Park is about the same.
The cottage has a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi and TV. All bedding and towels are included. There’s one dedicated parking space. No pets.
