The Garden Cottage
The Garden Cottage is part of our house here in Boode. It's a separate wing with its own front door, so you're on your own but we're next door if you need anything.
It sleeps five. Three bedrooms upstairs, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable, not huge. The garden is shared with us, but it's big and we're rarely in it. You get a private patio area with a table.
Inside, it's got what you'd expect. A washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Towels and bedding are included. We can put a cot and highchair in for you. You can bring one dog.
Boode is just a few houses and a farm. It's quiet. You can walk straight out onto country lanes. The village of Braunton is about a mile and a half away. It's got decent shops, a supermarket, cafes and pubs. That's where you'll go for a proper shop or a meal out.
From Braunton, you're about ten minutes from Saunton Sands and Croyde Bay. Those are the big surfing beaches. If you want a calmer beach for families, Instow is about twenty minutes drive.
For walking, you're close to the South West Coast Path. Exmoor is about half an hour inland. The Tarka Trail is good for cycling, it's mostly flat on old railway lines.
If you're planning days out, Ilfracombe is twenty minutes north. Lynton and Lynmouth are about forty minutes. For gardens, RHS Rosemoor is half an hour away. The Big Sheep and Milky Way adventure parks are both within a thirty minute drive if you've got children.
