Woolacombe Folly is on a holiday park just above Woolacombe village. It's a terraced holiday chalet, which means you have neighbours but you also get your own private sitting-out area. You can see the sea from there.
It sleeps five. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's a 3 Star place, so it's comfortable and clean but not fancy. It's all on one floor inside, which is handy.
The beach is about three-quarters of a mile away. It's a walk downhill to get there, but it is a proper uphill walk back. The beach is good, great for surfing or just being on the sand. The village has shops, places to eat, and surf schools if you need to hire anything.
There's a shop about 500 yards from the park entrance. A pub and restaurant are about three-quarters of a mile.
If you want to explore, Ilfracombe is about ten minutes by car. They've got a harbour and Tunnels Beach. The Arlington Court estate is about twenty minutes inland. For a bigger garden day out, the RHS Garden Rosemoor is a half hour drive.
The South West Coast Path runs right past here. The walk to Baggy Point from Croyde is good. Croyde and Saunton beaches are a ten to fifteen minute drive away.
Inside, it's open plan. There's a TV, a washing machine, and bedding is included. The patio has garden furniture. One well-behaved dog is allowed.
