Woolacombe Folly
Woolacombe Folly is in a holiday park just above Woolacombe village. It's a terraced chalet, quite simple, but it has everything you need.
It sleeps five in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's a comfortable base but not luxurious. You can bring one dog.
The best bit is the sitting-out area. It gets the sun and you can see a sliver of sea between the other buildings. It's a nice spot with a cuppa.
The beach is a ten minute walk downhill. It is a proper walk back up, though, so be ready for that. The beach is fantastic, huge and sandy. Good for surfing or just messing about.
The holiday park has its own shop just outside the gates, which is handy. Woolacombe village is close, with surf hire places and a few places to eat. For a bigger shop or more choice, Ilfracombe is about ten minutes by car.
You're well placed for getting out. The National Trust looks after a lot of the coast here. The Exmoor National Park is inland for walking. Combe Martin Wildlife Park is up the road, and Watermouth Castle is nearby if you've got kids to entertain.
Inside it's open plan downstairs. There's a TV, a washing machine, and the bedding is included. The garden area is yours to use.
