This is Seagrass. It's a two-bedroom apartment on the second floor of a big Georgian house in Ilfracombe. It looks out over the sea towards Capstone Hill. The views are really good.
It's got a 4 Star rating. It's clean and comfortable, not too fussy. Sleeps four. One double room, one twin room. One bathroom and a separate toilet. Everything you need is here: wifi, TV, washing machine, bedding and towels are included. There's parking for one car on site, but the space is tight. It wouldn't suit a big motorhome.
The building is listed, so the layout is what it is. The stairs up to the second floor are fine, but there are quite a few of them.
You're less than half a mile from the beach and the town. Ilfracombe's a proper old seaside town. There's a harbour, ice cream, fish and chips, the usual. Damien Hirst's big statue, Verity, is down there on the pier. It's a five minute walk.
For getting out, you're right on the South West Coast Path. You can walk west towards Hele Bay or east towards the Torrs. The town has boat trips out to see seals or over to Lundy Island.
If you drive, Woolacombe and Croyde beaches are about 20 minutes away for surfing. Exmoor National Park is 15-20 minutes inland. Barnstaple is 15 minutes for bigger shops. The Tarka Trail for walking or cycling starts there.
Facilities are all listed. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. No pets.
