Blurridge Barn

Blurridge Barn is our place in Combe Martin. It's a converted barn, detached, in the grounds of our house. We did it up a few years ago. It sleeps four, in two bedrooms downstairs. There's one bathroom with a shower.

It's got a 4 Star rating. That means it's comfortable and well-equipped. It's not huge, but it's a good size for four people. The living space is open plan. There's a wood burner for cooler evenings. The main bedroom has French doors out to the garden.

You can hear the animals from Combe Martin Wildlife Park sometimes. It's not loud, just a distant noise if the wind's right. I think it's quite nice.

Combe Martin itself is about a mile and a half down the road to the beach. It's a typical seaside village with shops and a few pubs. The beach is sandy with rock pools. The South West Coast Path runs right through it. Great Hangman, the big cliff, is a good walk from there.

Within about half an hour's drive, you've got Ilfracombe with the harbour and Tunnels Beaches. Exmoor Zoo is that way too. For surfing, Woolacombe and Croyde are about a 20-minute drive. The Tarka Trail for cycling is close by in Braunton. Lynton and Lynmouth with the cliff railway are stunning, that's maybe 25 minutes.

Facilities: it's all there. Washing machine, dishwasher, TV, WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair. Parking for one car right outside. We allow one well-behaved dog.
