Hidden Gem

This place is called Hidden Gem, which is a bit of an obvious name, but it’s in Berrynarbor in Devon. It’s a small detached house. Sleeps five, in three bedrooms, and each bedroom has its own shower room. That’s quite handy.

It’s got a 5 Star rating. That means it’s well-equipped and in good order. The living area is open plan, with a large window. One of the bedrooms has a sliding door into the main living space, so you can open it up if you want.

The village is down the hill. There’s a shop and a pub about a ten minute walk away. The walk back up is steep, just so you know.

It’s about two miles to the coast. The nearest proper beaches are at Combe Martin, or you’ve got Woolacombe and Croyde a bit further along for surfing. Ilfracombe is close by, with the harbour and the Tunnel Beaches.

For a day out, Exmoor is right there. Lynton and Lynmouth are worth the drive, about half an hour. You can do the Tarka Trail for cycling or walking. If you like gardens, RHS Rosemoor is near Torrington, and there are National Trust places like Arlington Court about a twenty minute drive.

Facilities: it’s got parking, wifi, a washing machine, dishwasher. There’s a cot and highchair. It’s all on one level and the entrance is wheelchair accessible. There’s an electric vehicle charger. Garden with a barbecue. No pets.
