The Shippen
The Shippen is in Berrynarbor. It's a single storey cottage, so all on one level. It sleeps two, one bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well kept.
The cottage is at the bottom of Sterridge Valley. It's very quiet here. The village has won best kept village awards, so it's tidy and has good flower displays. There's a community shop and post office, and a pub, about a ten minute walk away.
You're two miles from the edge of Exmoor. The coast at Combe Martin, with its beach and rock pools, is also about two miles. Ilfracombe is four miles away. They've got a theatre there, an indoor pool, and a golf course.
The South West Coast Path is within walking distance from here. For a big sandy beach, Woolacombe is eight miles. Barnstaple is a twenty minute drive if you need the markets or a leisure centre.
You can drive to Lynton and Lynmouth. They're connected by that water powered cliff railway. Clovelly and the North Cornish coast are also within a reasonable drive.
Facilities wise: it's all open plan inside. There's a patio area, parking, TV and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. The entrance is wheelchair accessible. There's local fishing and a golf course nearby.
