Wheelwrights

Wheelwrights is in Kentisbury Ford. It's one of a pair of stone cottages converted from an old barn. You get your own bit of enclosed courtyard garden.

It sleeps five. Two bedrooms upstairs and a bathroom. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well-equipped. Being a barn conversion, the ceilings downstairs are nice and high, but the stairs up to the bedrooms are quite narrow.

The kitchen has a dishwasher and a washing machine. There's a TV, WiFi, and parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. We have a cot and a highchair if you need them. You can bring up to two dogs.

There's a shop about ten minutes walk away. The nearest pub is about a mile and a half, but there's a restaurant closer, maybe a fifteen minute walk.

The coast is the main draw here. You can drive to Woolacombe, Croyde, or Saunton sands in about twenty minutes. For something a bit different, the Tunnels Beaches at Ilfracombe are worth a look. Lynton and Lynmouth, with the cliff railway, are a bit further, maybe forty minutes.

For a day out inland, Exmoor is right there. You can get to the edge of it in ten minutes by car. The Exmoor National Park site has good walking routes. The Tarka Trail is good for a flat bike ride or walk.

If the weather's bad, Combe Martin Wildlife Park or The Big Sheep are under half an hour away. Barnstaple has a big supermarket and the pannier market.
