Well Lodge

Well Lodge is in Berrynarbor, which is a small village in North Devon. It's a detached house, so you've got your own space. It sleeps eight, in four bedrooms. There are three bathrooms, which helps with that many people. One of them is downstairs, off the utility room. It's handy but a bit tucked away, so we call it the secret shower room.

The living area is L-shaped, with a dining section and a sun lounge part that has patio doors. Those doors open out onto the patio and garden. The garden wraps around two sides of the house, with lawn and a couple of patio spots. There's also a separate snug room with another TV.

It's got a 4 Star rating. That means it's well-equipped and comfortable. The kitchen has what you need, and there's a washing machine and tumble dryer in the utility area. Bedding and towels are included.

There's a pub about three minutes' walk away. It does good food and has a garden. The village itself is quiet, on the side of a valley. For a beach, Broadsands is nearby and is very nice. Combe Martin is a mile down the road. That's got a beach, shops, and a Wildlife and Dinosaur Park.

You're right on the edge of the North Devon National Landscape here. The South West Coast Path is accessible for walking. Ilfracombe is about ten minutes by car. That's where the harbour is, with boat trips and Damien Hirst's 'Verity' statue. You can get trips to Lundy Island from there. Watermouth Castle, with its theme park and cove, is also close.

If you're planning days out, the National Trust has several places nearby like Arlington Court. For local information, Visit Devon is useful.

There's parking on site. The garden is enclosed. We can't take pets. If you want to eat out, especially in summer, you really need to book ahead. I can send you a list of places if you decide to book.
