Brambley Meadow
Brambley Meadow is a farmhouse near Dean, on Exmoor. It sleeps ten, in six bedrooms. There are two bathrooms. Sometimes people book it with the smaller cottage next door if they've got a bigger group.
It's old. The date goes back to the Magna Carta. We think it feels solid. It's not posh, it's a 4-star farmhouse. The floors creak a bit. Some of the doors are low. The steps up to the main door are stone.
It's detached. There's a patio with a hot tub. You're welcome to walk over our ten acres of fields. We have livestock, so dogs have to be kept on a lead around the animals.
The place is about two miles from the local shop and pub. For a beach, Combe Martin is the closest. It's good for rock pools. Ilfracombe has the harbour. The surfing beaches like Croyde and Woolacombe are about half an hour's drive.
Exmoor starts at the end of the track. You can walk straight out. It's an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Exmoor National Park has good walking maps.
Inside, it's got everything you'd need. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Log burner in the living room. We include bedding and towels. There's parking right by the house.
You can bring two dogs. We have a cot and a highchair if you need them.
If you're planning trips, National Trust South West covers places like Arlington Court. The RHS Garden Rosemoor is about a 30-minute drive.
