Lynton Cottage
Lynton Cottage is on Beta Road in Combe Martin. It's detached, so it's just you and the house. The garden has a few trees and shrubs, but it's mostly a patio for sitting out.
The cottage sleeps six, with four bedrooms and two bathrooms. One bathroom is downstairs with a walk-in shower and grab rails. It's got that 4 Star rating, so it's all there and comfortable. The kitchen is a good size, with a dishwasher and washing machine.
You're about a 20 minute walk from the beach, mostly downhill. The main street in Combe Martin, with shops and pubs, is closer. A convenience store is just around the corner, maybe 150 yards. The nearest pub is about a five minute walk.
Combe Martin beach has sand and rock pools. For a bigger beach, Woolacombe and Saunton Sands are about 20-30 minutes by car. Ilfracombe is ten minutes down the coast. The Tunnels Beaches there are interesting, and you can see the 'Verity' statue by the harbour.
The house is well placed for Exmoor. You can drive up onto the moor in about 15 minutes. Lynton and Lynmouth are a 20 minute drive. The cliff railway connecting the two is worth a trip. The Lynton & Barnstaple Railway is nearby too.
For days out, the Exmoor Zoo is close. Watermouth Castle is also nearby. If you're walking, you've got the South West Coast Path and all of Exmoor. The Exmoor National Park site has good information.
Facilities are all as listed. There's parking for one car on the gravel drive. The bedding and towels are included. We don't allow pets.
