Berkeley Cottage is in Ilfracombe. It's at the end of a small mews, so it's quiet, but you're a few minutes' walk from the high street and Fore Street, which has most of the restaurants.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs, one double and one with twin beds. One bathroom, which is a shower room on the ground floor. It's a 3 Star place, so it's clean and functional.
The stairs are steep. They're the original cottage stairs.
Downstairs there's a living and dining room with a wood burner. The kitchen is small but has what you need. Out the front is a garden with some seating.
The main beach is about half a mile away. The harbour is a bit further. You can see Damien Hirst's Verity statue there. There's a shop close by for basics.
You can walk to a lot from here. The South West Coast Path is right there. For a day out, you can get a boat to Lundy Island from the harbour. Watermouth Castle is about ten minutes away by car if you've got children.
Within half an hour's drive, you've got the beaches at Woolacombe and Croyde for surfing. Exmoor National Park is about twenty minutes inland. You can pick up the Tarka Trail for cycling in Barnstaple, which is a fifteen-minute drive.
It's a pet-friendly cottage. You can bring two dogs. There's a washing machine, WiFi, and the bedding and towels are included.
